A safe and open community

Femme is a safe zone for everyone, though prioritising women, to share our stories and experiences, grow, learn, be vulnerable and reflect with like minded individuals.

We create an annual magazine that takes submissions from absolute everyone, and is a chance to showcase local creatives and discuss in depth themes of love, mental health, self esteem, empowerment and more!

We hold laid back workshops that we like to call "open discussions", participate in events and panel talks and are currently running workshops at Loughborough University

Gals In Action

Femme over the last few years

Femme Fatale Gals is a creative empowerment platform and annual magazine based in Nottingham, ran by Khaya Job. What started as a small feminist creative project for Khaya and Nottingham surface print maker Alice Peake (alicesayspalace) in 2018, has now grown into a platform that widely discusses mental health struggles, love, vulnerability and so much more.

We run workshops, work with Universities, share honest and confronting posts and videos on social media and have most recently been promoting the second issue of our magazine. Issue 2: The Power of Love And Vulnerability features over 30 submissions of art, poetry and photography from creatives all around Nottingham and is a brave and beautiful exploration into the complications surrounding love and relationships.

We are currently working on the third edition of our magazine which is themed around Purpose.

Here at Femme we are very much into self reflection, self compassion and looking at ourselves and others in the most proactive and compassionate way.  We are a platform for anyone and everyone - we are for all of the people that hate the small talk and want to get real, close and personal!
