Things are changing…

I started this platform when I was 19 and in the lowest place of my life. I needed a safe space for myself to create and to give myself the representation and healing that I so desperately needed.

Over the past few years I’ve done more with this than I EVER intended to do, stepped into rooms I never even knew existed (or thought would ever make room for me) and I’ve grown into someone today that 19 year old me couldn’t have pictured.

Over the years I’ve shared my experiences as I’ve battled with imposter syndrome - going from being a lil black girl failure to suddenly being looked up to and expected to know what I was doing (I didn’t! - but I did deep down lol )

Well public service announcement - I don’t feel like an imposter anymore. I am confident! I know what I’m doing - kinda, and I’m really proud of myself. I’ve become a teacher, and I’m perfectly capable and create work of quality and IMPACT! That’s amazing!

And so that’s why I called this upcoming magazine, and this era of femme “BECOMING”. There’s no more imposter syndrome. I’m truly embodying the most empowered version of me.

There’s going to be some changes around here, to reflect the growth I’ve done. It isn’t just a blog anymore, it’s a business. I’ve created a self development course on EMPOWERMENT that drops in 2 weeks! This upcoming magazine will be the last one I make for a while. After that, I’ll be focusing more on my workshops, stepping more into the mental health world, delivering 1-1 coaching sessions, teaching EFT and doing a lot more of this work I’ve also updated the website to reflect these changes, if you’re interested in learning more.

I’m very proud of my growth and I’m very grateful to everyone who has encouraged me the whole way, helping me to realise my full potential when I honest to god thought I had none. No more playing small now! I’m practicing what I preach, and I’m teaching with confidence!

I’ll be sharing and teaching everything I’ve learned along these 4 years in the course, that comes out on Wednesday 28th July. Until then, I’ll see you soon…
